Hello peeps!
First of all I am going to talk about my new life as an interns at Singapore EXPO which I have been working for the past 2 weeks. We were working on mega event - A MOVING MASTERPIECE (AMM).
1ST DAY:
We were supposed to be reported at 10am and meet Donny for a briefing on our work. He briefed us about the Overall Operations that we will be working on. Apparently after the briefing, we went to our office which was in M4, our temporary office for the next 2 weeks. For the first day, we didn't do much as he let us slack and relax first. He wants us to get used to the office environment before we started our work. And we ended our work by 5pm.
2ND DAY:
We also reported our work at 10am and we didn't do any work yet. So far he asked us to only do our own stuff which we did. We decided to do our IEP report for the time being so as to not wasting our time. We divided our job in our project and started doing. End at 5pm.
3RD DAY:
We went back to school for our DSG which we needed to complete the draft by 9 Dec 2011. DSG started at 1pm and we started doing it as much as we could as we knew that the following weeks would be a busy week for us, interns. And we also see Ms Pang for our feedback on our attachment.
4TH DAY & 5TH DAY:
We started work on this day where we were each assigned to a task. As for me, I was assigned to do a power point briefing for the ITE students next week for those who will be working on 7 DEC 2011. It took me a few hours to complete it as I need to make it more fascinating and interesting for the students so that they will be amazed by the event that was being organised.After I completed my task, I went to help Ennis with her power point which Donny needed for the meeting at 2.30pm. As she was having trouble on the slides, I tried to help her with some things that were needed for the meeting. Fortunately, it was done just in time and Donny was impressed by the power point which make us happy and proud.
6TH DAY & 7TH DAY:
On these two days, we worked hard to promote the AMM exhibition which will be held next 2 weeks. We gave out brochures to make them aware that there will be a big event being held in Singapore EXPO. Generally, most of the people seemed disinterested with the event and did not even know about the event at all. So basically we promoted AMM at the SITEX 2011 from 10.30am - 9.30pm.

8TH DAY:
Since I have assigned a new task yet, I decided to edit with the power point briefing to try to make it more interesting which took me the whole day.
9TH DAY:
The day of the power point briefing to the students. Before we presented it to the students, we had our meeting with Donny and Stanley on what we have done. So far, it was good but my power point just need to edit more things to make them understand of the slides which we will be presenting. The meeting ended like 1.30pm, if I am not wrong. So I rushed to my computer and edit some things before we went for the briefing at 3pm. After it was done, we set off at 2.30pm. Three of us following Stanley on taking the taxi and the rest follow Donny to his car.
Upon reaching our school, we went straight to the Music room which we will be conducting our briefing. It was supposed to start at 3pm but there was some technical difficulties so we started at 3.15pm. Everything started smoothly and they seemed to understand what we were conveying.
After the briefing, we had a short meeting about the briefing accompanied with Ms Usha and Ms Pang and discussing about the deployment of students and ended nearly 6pm.
10TH DAY:
DSG TIME!!
11TH DAY:
Arrived at 10am. We had a short meeting with Donny and Stanley about the problems or crisis that we will be facing. After the meeting, we each volunteered to some admin work like doing the badges which me and Jaeden will be doing, Ennis and Shi Jie would be doing the solutions on the choke points while Ashley and Eric would be doing the manpower. Right after that, we went to do our work for the next few days.
12TH DAY:
So we had our meeting again which were held at 2-2 main office meeting room about the deployment of students and the temporary staff, choke points discussions, badges,schedule for the working days for the students,discussing some things that will be needed for the training for the students on the 3rd and 5th DEC 2011. So many things to do but so little time to complete!I was supposed to help Shi Jie and the others with the training but I have my own day off- going chalet!
Ended work at 10.30pm and my uncle and aunty (Cik Jo and Cik Mi) kindly offered to send me to the Costa Sands Chalet at Pasir Ris today.
13TH DAY:
I was supposed to help Shi Jie and the others with the training but I have my own day off- going chalet! Having fun BBQ with my cousins eventhough on a wet weather! Riding bicycle, taking a walk on the beach,having delicious lunch and breakfast with my favourite people!
14TH DAY:
End of chalet and we checked out at 10am! Missing them already! Without taking a long rest at home, I needed to go to work to finish up my work on badges and help with the moving of things to the Hall 3. Ended at 10.30pm.
